Telkomsel upgrade and extend the world’s largest JAIN SLEE implementation

Eighteen months after going live with their OpenCloud Rhino Real-Time Charging Gateway, Telkomsel commissioned OpenCloud to upgrade the capacity and extend the functionality. Telkomsel is the world’s fastest growing mobile operator in a very competitive and dynamic market. Telkomsel now has over 85 million subscribers, all of which use the OpenCloud Charging Gateway to authorise and control their prepaid use of Value-Added Services.
The Charging Gateway is now dimensioned to deliver 6,000 prepaid charging transactions per second to Telkomsel’s prepaid IN platforms. In addition, the solution now also performs real-time queries of the Home Location Register (HLR) to establish the location and the IN platform serving each subscriber.
